Everybody eats!
Following our first in-person season back from COVID-19, we were excited to be back in the pool. The team put in lots of hard work at practices and enjoyed playing together after unprecedented times. We had an undefeated season with a record of 11-0, and after two riveting overtime wins against BU and Dartmouth, we travelled to Huntsville, AL for nationals. We finished ranked 7th and are looking forward to a great 2023 season!

This season looked different than most. We were unable to play tournaments or run close contact drills at practice. It was sad and frustrating to be unable to play but through it all, we had the silver lining of being able to come together as a team twice a week for a practice that felt normal in a time where everything is unprecedented. We look forward to the next season and cherish the time we had together this past year.
Special shoutouts to our captains, Annie Ward and Shannon Croly for leading us through these unprecedented times The Margot Connell Recreation Center opened up this year and we could not have been more excited. A new pool means new opportunities for drills and hosting tournaments. We played one tournament at Dartmouth this season and absolutely crushed the competition. Our three-year record is 26-0 Unfortunately due to COVID-19 our season was cut short as we were sent home. Though we are incredibly saddened by the loss of our season we look forward to future tournaments.
Another undefeated season for the eagles bringing our two year record to 22-0. We had a great season and had the opportunity to travel to Notre Dame for nationals. Again we ranked 8th nationally. It was an exciting and fast paced season and we were so glad to be a part of it.
New England MVP - Heather Clark First team
The Eagles had an incredible season, clinching 1st place in the New England Division. With an 11-0 regular season record, this BCWWP was unstoppable. We took a trip to the Pacific Northwest for nationals and placed 8th overall. Not so bad for a team practicing in a diving well :) We have had an amazing season and appreciate all of your continued support!
New England MVP - Heather Clark First team
After a successful season, BCWWP has hung up their caps and said goodbye to the BC pool as the spring semester comes to a close. Nine wins and two losses secured a third place finish for the Eagles as well as a tie between Dartmouth for the best overall season record in the New England Division. The team fought hard in the pool, capturing six out of our nine wins with at least an eight goal lead. Under the new coaching staff of Hannah Grotzinger, BCWWP grew as a team, in and out of the water. We are so thankful for our coach, captains, and all of our seniors for making the season so memorable. The Class of 2017 will be missed greatly next year and we hope to see them on the pool deck and in the bleachers next season!
Additionally, we would like to congratulate three of our players for being named to the All-Conference teams. Click here to view the list of teams in its entirety. First Team: Eliza Gross – Class of 2017 Heather Clark – Class of 2019 Second Team: Elizabeth Judge – Class of 2020 The Eagles are sad to see the season end but excited to see what next year will bring! Stay tuned for information concerning try-outs for the 2017-2018 season! We just returned to Boston from an awesome weekend of play at Wesleyan University. We won all of our games, coming out of the tournament undefeated!! 4-0 We are very excited about where we are at, but cannot wait to work on our weaknesses for our next tournament. A full list of results can be found here.
We are also very proud of our very own sophomore, Heather Clark, on her incredible performance this weekend. She was named player of the week for the New England Division! Excited to see her success the rest of the season. Well our 2016 season flew by, but not without some amazing water polo! We ended the season taking 3rd place over Dartmouth. It has been 5 years since the last time we beat Dartmouth, so it was particularly exciting. We had an impressively strong season given our lack of returners. With only 6 returners, we had few expectations for this season. 10 freshmen/sophomores came out for the team and really stepped up even though many had never played water polo before. We can't wait to see what happens next year!!
We want to thank our captains, coach, and seniors for an amazing season. We will really miss them in the pool with us next year! Today the all-conference teams were announced. We are honored to have three of our teammates get named to the teams! To see the full list, check it out here! First Team: Heather Clark (Freshman) Second Team: Liz Titterton (Senior) Eliza Gross (Junior) After a long, exhausting weekend, we are excited to come out of our first tournament 2-2. We fought a close battle against Middlebury in the first game of the tournament. Ultimately we fell to mid 11-12 on a late penalty shot. Our second game was another exciting one against Dartmouth. In the last 20 seconds of the game, our eagles scored to tie it up and send the game into OT. Unfortunately we also fell to Dartmouth 5-7 after extra quarters. Our third game against UMass resulted in a 6-4 win. On the second day of the tournament, we got in the water with our home town rivals, Boston University. Because we love water polo so much and wanted to play more, we took them into overtime as well. This time we came out on top in a 7-6 OT win. Our newbies played great this weekend. Can't wait for this month ahead to prepare for our next tournaments!
For the first time ever.... Divisional Championships are being hosted in Boston!! Boston University will be hosting them. We can't wait to bring the division to Boston and to have a home crowd cheering us on. Should be really fun with many Northeastern fans making the trip out as well. Can't wait to see you guys at BU in the spring for some great water polo!
